The local community and groups from St Paul’s Parish Hall came together recently to celebrate the National Lottery funding of £115,000 received to replace the roof. An official unveiling of the Community Fund plaque was undertaken by County Councillor Erica Lewis who spoke about the importance of the hall to the community and gave thanks to the Lottery for the funding provided.
Jayne Weatherill, Fabric Committee Chair, talked about future plans for the hall and community links whilst also thanking the National Lottery and its players, UK Roofing who had worked in close partnership with the hall throughout the work and the patience of the many people who use the hall whilst the work was taking place.
Jayne continued by announcing the redecoration of the meeting room with provision of AV/IT equipment, looking at replacing the heating system and the launch of dedicated Facebook and Instagram accounts for the Parish Hall and Hala Centre. The launch of the social media will allow all the groups that run to advertise and also for their clients to see what is going on in the two centres – working in collaboration with each other.
Jayne said “We are looking forward to working with all of our regular clients and looking to the future, to anyone who is interested in using the facilities in the hall. Our office is open Monday to Friday, 9.30am until 12 noon, or you can drop an enquiry either via the Contact Us page,
via email or watch out for our new social media accounts – we look forward to hearing from you.”
