Revd Canon Dr Patricia Impey

Tricia grew up in South-West Pembrokeshire. One of herfavourite haunts being the beach at Freshwater West where Dobby of Harry Potter fame was ‘buried’! After school Tricia studied Theology at Birmingham University where, as a postgraduate student she met Richard, then a curate at St. Martin’s in the Bullring. They have four children and nine grandchildren and together have criss-crossed the country, from Somerset to Lancashire, from Norfolk to Sheffield and back here to Lancaster! As one of the first women to be priested 30 years ago she has thoroughly enjoyed life both at parish and diocesan level. In retirement Tricia has been involved in translating some of Meister Eckhart’s works from Latin into English for my doctorate etc. and plays a full part in the Spiritual Direction Network in the diocese. Relaxation being family, travel, reading, gardening & craft work.
