Revd Richard Impey

Richard’s early years were spent first in a small Surrey village, then in London. Ordained after eight years at University and Theological College he began ministry as a curate at St. Martin’s in the Bullring, Birmingham. Since then, Richard has been Director of Training for clergy and ordinands in both Somerset and Norwich dioceses. Whilst in Norwich Richard enjoyed time as an ‘interim’ minister, something very new then. In between he has been Vicar of St. John’s, Blackpool, chaplain to the Tower Circus and some of the shows, Rural Dean and organised worship for various party conferences there. Finally, Richard was Vicar of Wentworth, an estate village in Yorkshire until he retired in 2006. In retirement Richard undertook a Research doctorate relating to his training experience. In 2010 Tricia and Richard moved to Lancaster. Family, gardening, walking and some woodturning are his relaxation.
